BYU vs Boston College

A lot of people are poo-pooing BYU’s chances against Boston College this Sept. 3rd, because BC has such a great running tradition. I however think it may be a lot closer than any of the “experts” back east are really thinking.

Boston College’s greatest weakness is in their secondary, BYU’s greatest advantage right now is having 2 great QB’s (John Beck and Matt Berry) and a lot of Depth at receiver. Over practices thus far it’s not uncommon for the QBs to distribute the ball to 7 – 11 receivers.

BYU is also weak in the secondary, but that is not BC’s strength. We have a very unique 3-3-5 defense that will throw some really unique looks at both the QB and RBs.

Nor will we walk all over them as some die-hard Cougar fans have suggested, I imagine it will be a tough fought game with a narrow victory for the Cougars.
