Re: Players getting Hula Bowl invite
Don't worry - There's still time to shut down the game and save tens of thousands of lives. Now that a new even more dangerous strain of Covid has been discovered to be communicated digitally, all viewers of electrical equipment will be required to wear special goggles starting next week.

Re: COVID -- No Fans Allowed at UTSA Game
Frdbtr, I work in the health care profession, and am in consistent contact with most professional levels including management. Part of my job involves data and there is very little health care information in the state I can't know about. I've also had serious surgery and spoken personally with surge...

Re: COVID is over.
The problem is there is no exit strategy. They can't articulate how we end the restrictions. Where's the exit ramp? What will it take to go back to normal? How do we begin to live life again? According to their web page, there's only a "New Normal". There is no "Normal" to retur...

You are correct. My understanding, having been on an operating table many hours, is that it reduces distrac...

Utah's Covid Response Team online:
"New Normal". There is no "Normal" to return to. This should concern everyone. The "Utah Leads Together 2.0" word salad is a tell.

COVID in Utah won't be allowed to be over.
Utah's Covid task force led by Cox - the gov in waiting - and Dr Dunn, our state epidemiologist, continue to press the idea that we are in the thick of a terrible battle. Masks - most of which are designed to be worn in an already-sterile environment - are the winning weapon according to them. The o...

How many of the disappearing PAC12 games are gimmees?
Is the PAC12 trying to save badly needed money by playing fewer payout games? They lose 30-ish conference wins. With conference-only games there will be exactly the same number of overall wins and overall losses for the conference so more teams will have a losing record. But they'll have more money....

Will our reactions to this flu virus ruin college sports or at least the NCAA?
I work in the old folks insurance arm of the medical field and also get to hear inside numbers from doctors and clinics that apply to the sickness, contagion, and likelihood of #19 being already vastly spread. From my perspective (the true numbers as we have them so far, not the news), the biggest i...

Utah's most populous county and Utah's most wealthy county voted for Hillary. No comfort here.
It's called TDS or Trump Derangement Syndrome. Romney looks at the same screen as you and I do but sees something very different. It's not that he won't see the amazingly good things Trump is doing for America and the world, it's that he can't see them. Romney's reality sees most things Trump does a...

San Diego game
We lost to a much better performing San Diego team but if our youth continue to develop we'll beat them at their place. Grace Wee made some impressive digs and Riley Lyman really emerged with more than a few amazing digs against really good hits. I don't recall seeing Riley playing front row much bu...
