Re: Josh Weeks Arrested -- Status on team unclear
According to Coach Sitake, this incident is being handled by the school and not directly by him. I appreciate that it is being handled internally without much disclosure. It should be a fact-finding mission and not based upon conjecture, hype and false accusations. Protective orders can be very insi...

Re: 2016 BYU Coaching Staff
Disagree with that assessment. Empey, Gilford and Cahoon were all former players and coaches and were quite good. Spring ball showed that player enthusiastically supported the current coaching regime and focus on developing basic skills that will enable them to attack, play more free and not overthi...

Re: Player's stepping up?
I am enthused about Kalani's focus about putting the best 11 players on the field. The defense has undergone quite the change with former OLBs Takitaki, Hinds and Tautu moving to DE. Appears that they want speed and pash rush specialists where they can exploit their talent. New LBs include former RB...

Two things about the video...1) there was a special "all you can eat pancakes" offer at the IHOP next door; 2) the 4.9 referred to the Richter Scale reading when he biffed on the earthen berm.

Re: BYU vs Gonzaga
I concur. Kyle seems to be able to find the open man and generally handles the ball when passing from underneath the basket. Should go with your bread and butter when game is on the line (i.e. KC and Fisher).

Re: Article about why Bronco left BYU
I believe that the crystal clear portion of his comment have to do with his recognition of depth issues when team played top tier teams (recruiting was not embraced by all his staff), his losses to UT, questionable play-calling in critical situations, and complaints by donors and former players abou...

Re: BYU vs USD = WOW!
According to Coach Rose, this was the best game BYY played all season. They passed outside-in, and inside-out (25 assists). On several sequences at least 4 players touched the ball quickly to find the open shot. Very unselfish play which led to very good shots from the outside and in the paint. It a...

Re: Taysom Hill returning for 2016
By design, Shula and Ron Rivera want the read-option (for Newton) to be used much less. Read coverage, pass first in the pocket and run as the defense dictates. They have specific designed counter plays and runs up the middle when coverage is not focused on him. The goal of the OL is to buy Newton t...
