Re: CB Isaiah Herron commits

For the first year, the old system was kept in place, so that a senior QB could hit the ground running. Remember, T Hill was returning from an injury that would have slowed his transition to the new offense (iirc, he was sitting out spring camp, 2016). Hill also had a blue chip senior RB in the back...

Re: CB Isaiah Herron commits

I have faith in Ty. It's a whole new culture when you change all the coaches (except for one defense position coach). I recall that Ty's high school team had big losses for it's first few years under Ty. Look at how badly Bronco's Cavaliers sucked for his first year there. Another thing, is that BYU...

Re: Mangum trending down in every stat category

It's cool, Mars. I believe that you meant no harm or ill will in your comment. It was merely an observation, and one coming from a guy who understands, because he's carrying the same cross.

My son struggles with this, and so I understand. Hang in there, Buddy.

Re: Preview Wisconsin 2017

I think this writer believes that BYU is more of a trap game, due to it being in Provo, where BYU is stronger, and that BYU has a more mature team (Jr's and Sr's). Also factor in that Michigan comes much later in WI's season, giving WI more time to develop key underclass men.

Re: Preview Wisconsin 2017

Impressive that Fiutak thinks BYU is the only team that will beat Wisconsin. I think he's on to something here, because BYU is going to have a fearsome pass-rushing D with Takitaki coming back at DE and with Fred Warner at outside LB. Wisconsin's sophomore QB is unproven, and they are likely to be v...

Re: This Just In: Depression and Anxiety Special Edition

One interesting correlation is high intelligence. It seems to be a price that some among the super-intelligent must pay. I don't know how the genetic link occurs, or if anyone knows, but this observation has been made. My wife and I are very functional, but when sleep deprived, the tank (good analog...

Re: This Just In: Depression and Anxiety Special Edition

There is a way to describe the difference between merely "feeling" depressed, and otherwise being unfortunate enough to have clinical depression. It makes it more understandable to the non-medical/lay folks. Environmental Depression: This is situational, and therefore temporary. It's based...

Re: Spring Practice

I want to watch the OL. Then the DL. Then I'll come back to the OL and return to the DL again. Then I'll finish by watching the OL and the DL. With Tanner Mangum, I'm not concerned about QB. I'm not concerned about WR. I'm not concerned about RB. I think we have enough talent to be good enough at t...
