Re: Jamal Williams withdraws from school, will redshirt 2015
I tweeted Jamaal's mother soon after the news broke and told her that BYU nation was saddened by his loss and that he would be sorely missed. I said we were looking forward to seeing him in BYU blue in 2016. I also tweeted that I would keep him in my prayers. She "favorited" both tweets. Jamaal has a good woman for his mother and I expect to see him back.

That was my point. Perhaps I made it a little over-zealously for some. We will miss Jamal. He is the best back on the team. But it isn't the end of the world. There are some capable backs to fill in. I guess we'll see how well they fill his shoes this season, and look forward to his return next season. I would imagine he will get a ton of rushing attempts with a new QB just getting acclimated to the pace of college football.SpiffCoug wrote:Hine, Brown and Carter combined last year to carry the ball 149 times for 741 yards (5.0 ypc).
They did have 4 TDs (would l like to see a better carry:TD ratio).
But they also lost 3 fumbles.
Throw in Taysom's rushing numbers and it looks like we're actually returning a pretty good rushing game.
