Todd Christensen passed away last night. CougarCorner and I personally would like to share our condolences with his family on the loss of a great Cougar athlete and a man who made a splash wherever he went and whatever he did.

Likewise, my condolences. While I wasn't among his fans of his sportscasting during our MWC days, I did learn a lot of new vocabulary and I appreciated his efforts.

How did this happen? He wasn't very old. Sad day for cougar fans.

Passed away from complications during a liver transplant surgery.
I just hope whoever gives his eulogy makes it as eloquent and verbose as Todd would have himself.

RIP Todd. From what I've heard he's been battling liver disease for years. I don't know if that's true, but regardless, we've lost a good one. Peace and comfort to his family.

By all accounts, Todd Christensen was a good man, a good husband, a good father, and a good example to others in the sports world where good examples are few and far between.
Todd may have been the best *tight end to ever play at BYU. Ironically, he will not be remembered exactly that way because he never actually played tight end at BYU - he was a running back. So put an asterisk by that.
He played as a running back / fullback for The Dallas Cowboys as a reserve until after a trade to Oakland, the late Al Davis had the vision to turn him into a Super Bowl Tight End. He played at an MVP and All-Pro level as a tight end.
May God bless Todd Christensen and his family and friends.

RIP Todd. This is the first time to go through this with a player I watched play. Goodness at 57 he is younger than me. I'm going to feel old and sad for awhile on this one.
