Sadly, it's probably the Kaepernick Effect. These were the AP rankings after all.

I am really putting hope in the Selection Committee. However, it's going to be fun watching the Selection Committee pick between 6 one-loss teams for the last two playoff spots - among them, three conference champions and at least one that did not win its division.
