We're Undefeated!

Post by Gunk »

Fun. Great to see some points up on the board. Now if only Anae knew how to do it for 4 quarters.

Bad penalties, but I think most can be cleaned up.

DBs didn't look good. Look forward to seeing the starters play.

WRs looked solid. That was nice.

OL looked improved. Hill had a lot of time on some possessions.

The problem in the 3rd quarter was not Anae. Brown dropped a pass that would have been a huge gainer. Then he fumbled on the next play. Then you did not see him much after that. A nice drive was killed.

BYU missed a very makeable field goal. Decent drive wasted.

Stupid late hit on QB reversed an interception. Missed out on that opportunity for field position and momentum.

Wide receiver fumbled after a nice catch. Drive killed.

Special Teams and defense allowed UCONN drives to end deep in BYU territory several times. Left BYU with poor field position.

Penalties, penalties, and more penalties made it tough to sustain long drives.

Bronco made a bad decision when he made UCONN re-kick after their kickoff went out of bounds. He should have almost known BYU would get a penalty the way things were going. Bad field position instead of great field position.

Take a look at Red Zone improvements Vs recent history. Huge improvement.

Anae did a great job.

Anae just might be the guy. Wisconsin DC says Anae is totally unpredictable because he just runs a bunch of plays with no rhyme or reason. Whooped Butt on Houston DC for 3 of 4 quarters. Destroyed Texas DC and HC careers.

Maybe she could coach our special teams?

Not to bag on coaches, but our ST Coordinator seems to be in over her head.

It's because of her gender (sarcasm - gender has nothing to do with coaching ability).

Hahaha, this thread has a case of the sillies. Serious faces everyone! Now that we're undefeated (remember the quest! ) we have to play stiff and nervously, and 'not to lose.' (tic).

Regardless of UT game outcome, I'm glad there's already some sense of swagger on both sides of the ball already. Best thing to do in a tight game? Just crack a few jokes in the huddle or sideline or something. Or, just channel the spirit of Joe 'cool' Montana via Taysom to stay loose. Montana would ask about some players weekend plans or something sometimes in the huddle, and just kept everyone in a good place.
