To bad Texas messed up the coin toss they kicked to start the game and kicked after the half.

This rule is so antiquated and should never happen in football, why do we even still do it this way? The team that wins the toss should simply choose the first or second half to receive and the other team picks their side to defend, that simple.

Agreed seem so unfair they get the ball both times.

The team that wins the coin toss can elect to kick, receive, or defer to the second half. If you choose to kick, instead of defer, you've used your turn to choose and the other team gets to choose to either kick or receive at the beginning of the second half.
