Looks like BYU has closed the loophole that was there during my time. Back then you could just get a dr. note from any dr., or in my case, a PA, go to the Honor Code office and get your letter for the professors/testing center stating you were allowed facial hair. The letter was only good for 30 days (while you grow your beard out without trimming for your new student ID aka beard card), but the Honor Code office didn't maintain records of who was in the pipeline for a beard card, so after 30 days, you just take the same dr's note in and repeat the process. Once your dr's note got to be a bit stale, you just call his office and ask for a new note and you're good to go. It especially helped to have a Dr. who went to the U.

Seems like a lot of work, but for folks who have a legitimate reason for not shaving and who didn't want to lock themselves into a 30-day untrimmed beard, this was the way to go as explained to me by the kid in the HC office.

Now it looks like BYU makes the bearded go through the Health Center drs as non-BYU affiliated Drs weren't getting the job done. LOL.

So I haven't posted forever. My job changed to where I don't have hours to be productive on CC and I actually have to work. I couldn't pass this one up though-
What I’ve learned from this thread-
1. Some CC members have the same hold ups as Ute fans with the honor code and feel we need to tell Dallin H. Oaks and Jeffrey R. Holland that they have their rules mixed up. Maybe side notes to David A. Bednar and Henry B. Eyring would be appropriate as well.
2. 60% of women on campus have had some sort of sexual activity that would be against the honor code. I’m guessing Peggy Fletcher Stack didn't bother to mention that there’s a huge array of sexual activities that are against the honor code especially when personal interpretation is brought in. My guess is the trib comments concluded each one of those girls was using Plan B pills and Duane Busby was providing it. I also broke the honor code each time I jaywalked and drove at 26 MPH in front of the Wilk.
3. If I can get in the temple I’ve made it.
4. Uni-kitty is probably using anti-depressants and Ned Flanders is probably looking at porn.
5. I may need to go shave my Movember stache which is looking awesome by the way.

BYU had to put a line somewhere. It's not that big of an issue. Just shave for 4 years.

Gordon Monson's self decided job is to make you upset. Your life is better without him.

Finally figured out how to get the Rich Rod quote off my signature that randomly showed up! Sorry if you thought I stole it from you……..whoever it was that used to have it
