Whether or not this QB recruit ever starts a game for BYU or not, this is a pretty impressive run in a state championship game.

I love seeing big number 55 running the field looking to make blocks. He didn't need to make one it turns out but I like to see the big man working hard!

I agree with impressive! His dad is Merrill a tv commentator and former running back for Highland High in Pocatello. He went on to play for the hometown Bengals. He was drafted in the 10th round by the Steelers and played there and Chicago for 10 years. He became a victim of concussions and retired. I was not aware of him being LDS, but maybe they are.

The Pocatello connection is working well for BYU.

I saw 55 and 50 who beat him to the endzone. I wonder if they'd consider coming to BYU with their buddy.

His motion reminds me of Michael Vick. Just a flick of the wrist and the ball goes 40 yards.

I think 50 or 55 is Triston Hoge who is Beau's cousin, he is also the #1 rated senior gaurd and has already commited to Notre Dame.

I don't think so. Beau lives and plays in Northern Kentucky (greater Cinci metro area) and Tristan at Highland H.S. in Pocatello. I hope they aren't together in the same video clip ;)

Haha I knew they were cousins, I knew Merill was from Pocatello, SO I just assumed when it said Highland High school it was talking about Highland High in Idaho. I actually feel even better about his commitment now that I know he is from a larger metro area with stiffer competition.
