Forgive me. I'm almost retired and don't think along those lines anymore. In fact, there are no lines I think along.

Let me also apologize if any little children or women saw that comment. As I said before, I just wasn't thinking.

We're still looking for a backup center. It might be needed for the first game. If Kearsley had not transferred, he would be getting a lot of reps in camp.

Based upon comments from the 2nd scrimmage, Anae stated that Jr. Parker Dawe has improved enough to be considered for second team center. Based upon first team running on Monday, the BYU’s projected offensive line starters look like this:

Left tackle » Ryker Mathews, Sr.

Left guard » Kyle Johnson, Jr.

Center » Tejan Koroma, Soph.,

Right guard » Ului Lapuaho, Soph, if Tuni Kanuch, Soph. doesn't physically recover by fist game. If Tuni returns, junior Manu Mulitalo fills in as backup.

Right tackle » Brad Wilcox, Sr. (replaced by Ului Lapuaho if Tuni returns to RG).

2J also indicated that the following freshmen will make the trip to NE and may see some action: Austin Hoyt, J.J. Nwigwe, Jacob Jimenez and Jaterrius Gulley. It appears that we have plenty of bodies - just need experience.

They got 2 weeks to get better. Koroma might be suspended.

People keep saying this. Koroma told me himself that he is NOT suspended. nacua is, but he is not. i asked specifically if he will be playing in the first quarter and he said yes. he wouldn't answer about nacua. he just grinned and said he didn't know....

According to @BrandonCGurney, the starting OL per 2J will be Mathews, Johnson, Koroma, Kanuch, and Lapuaho.

2J confirmed that Koroma penciled in as the starting center would "...be a safe assessment". Sounds to me like he is planning on playing him against NE.

IMO this starting OL is a very strong group that should give Taysom good pass protection and likely be able to open up some holes for RBs as rushing yards are needed.

I would have been surprised with a Koroma suspension seeing how he got pushed from behind into the opposing tackle and then had to fight his way out of getting gang tackled and hit with a helmet. Kai likely wouldn't have been suspended had he not sucker punched the Memphis LB in front of the camera. Memphis team had a bunch of thugs and BYU responded accordingly to protect teammates. Other penalties for BYU players was more a result of off-field behavior during the week leading up to the game. Hopefully these items were resolved during the off-season.

Well, the line isn't deep - at all - and the quality of our starting line is untested and unproven. I haven't seen much positives outside of koroma, and he is a personal foul nightmare.
