BYU’s clinic drew 325 high school coaches from nine different states. The coaches came from Florida, Texas, Kentucky, California, Hawaii, Nevada, Idaho, Wyoming and Utah. It included attendance at team meetings, a practice and then breakout sessions . It concluded with position-specific meetings with BYU staff members.
I like that they did this. Hopefully it opens some recruiting doors.

I think it is evidence that they are working hard to build up the national brand and presence for BYU. If they can build relationships with these coaches from across the country they have a better shot at recruiting their players or getting better looks at players from those regions.

It also serves to fertilize the local recruiting grounds by elevating Utah high school football and improving coaching here in the state.Fido wrote:I think it is evidence that they are working hard to build up the national brand and presence for BYU.
