So Vai lobbied for this guy to get a job for years only to see him bail on BYU after one season?

To be clear for all those not reading the entire thread--Atuaia is still BYU's RB coach. He is just visiting/interning with Andy Reid and the Chiefs until Fall Camp starts up at BYU. He has not moved on, and is not an NFL coach. Still not sure if Vai will be pleased or angered by this development.

If you are insinuating that I am a Bronco hater, you are totally wrong and missing the point.
I am actually calling out the Bronco apologists suggesting that if this MA occurrence is your evidence that Bronco mentors coaches into the NFL ranks, you do Bronco a great disservice and are not much better than the "Bronco " haters" you allege exist.
At best MA is getting some mentoring and ideas from the KC coaching staff and Andy--which while awesome is not more than that.
And certainly no slam on Tyler. Its awesome but not likely to lead to an NBA contract.
