Rank the 2015 Season

Post by SpiffCoug »

I think all the easy games are complete and that every game could be argued for the #1 position. I honestly could see the Cougars dropping every game remaining.

Here's how we stand so far:
1. ???
2. ???
3. ???
4. ???
5. ???
6. ???
7. @ Michigan (5-7) (42%)
8. vs East Carolina (9-4) (46%)
9. vs Fresno St (6-8) (87%)
10. at San Jose St (3-9) (76%)
11. vs UConn (2-10) (83%)
12. vs Wagner (7-4) (95%)

BYU PER W/L Since 1972: 432-76 (.850)
(8.4x
YDS)+(330xTD)+(100xCOM)-(200xINT)

I'm pretty sure that our guys will be fired up and ready for BS university. I think that the margin of victory over the Broncos will be greater than any other team on the list. A Bronco - coached defense can shut their offense down

I see BYU rolling at the end of the year and Taysom ready to get some much desired payback on a hapless (by that time) USU team. Cougars roll over the Aggies.

The Cincinnati game is at home. If you fix that, they likely should have been behind Michigan. This is a simple choice in that regard.

The Cincinnati game is a home game for the Bearcats

I agree with Spiff, there is an argument for #1 on all of those teams. I picked Nebraska simply because it will be the first game of the year and they have a new coach. I think that advantage negates Nebraska's home court advantage. BYU has a unique offense and a unique defense which makes them a tough 1st opponent. I think we get Nebraska due to that advantage.

This was my thinking too. Lots of off season changes in Lincoln. Although, Riley is likely quite familiar with BYU having coached against Bronco in two or three games while at Oregon St.

I thought of that too. Only problem is, his players have never faced it full speed.

And I don't think Riley has faced Taysom.

On all of these polls that we've run during the off-season, why has Cincy been showing as a road game? That has to have influenced voting. There is no way Michigan on the road is a less tough game than Cincy at home.
