Rivalry in college football survey (help w/ research)
"What does rivalry mean to you?
I'm a college student working with my professors to answer that question and others related to understanding fans' perspective of college football rivalries. Please take our survey (5-10 minutes) to tell us what rivalry means to BYU fans, and we'll come back to share the results once compiled.

We collected rivalry data initially in 2013, and we're hoping for more data now and to track possible changes in rivalry over time. Thanks in advance for helping with our research!

They did post about this survey in 2013 on this site as he said. That's his only other post.

Had a good chuckle at the hypothetical scenario of Utah being relegated to D-II. That doesn't make me a bad person, right?

Yeah that was fun.cougdoc wrote:Had a good chuckle at the hypothetical scenario of Utah being relegated to D-II. That doesn't make me a bad person, right?
I explained in the comment area at the end that I grew up an Ohio State fan with Michigan being the dreaded rivalry. I noted that this BYU/Utah rivalry blows that one all to pieces because generally Wolverine fans didn't live in your neighborhood or work with you. To have these individuals in your face ALL YEAR Long--the importance of a win or a loss has grown exponentially. Throw in that the anti-Mormon sentiment, another element missing from my childhood rivalry and there is no comparison--tension/anxiety wise.
