Bowl Matchups

I might be wrong, but isn't there a clause somewhere which says if the team went to a bowl one year, or maybe it's just the LV bowl or jsut a PAC12 thingie, if they are "picked" to go to the same bowl the next year, the bowl has to agree to it, PAC12 has to agree to it, AND the school has to agree to it.

Since them went last year, why would they ever agree to meet in it? In them minds (Do they really have any?), they have everything to lose and nothing to win. I wonder if they are more willing to beat a lesser team for less money then chance a loss against the and get more money.

Saccenti said there is "no-repeat language" in the bowl's contract with the Pac-12 to provide a team in the sixth-place range, but not necessarily a clause or actual rule.

"I have spoken to Utah. …. My sense is that Utah would not be as excited for that matchup as BYU would be," Saccenti said, also noting that Utah and BYU are playing next year and that TV viewers might not be attracted to a "regionalized" game.

"We are going into a very important year as far as trying to drive eyeballs on TV," he said. "With having a blowout game last year [Utah drubbed Colorado State 45-10] our TV ratings slipped a little bit. We need to get those back up. So we are really focusing on the matchup this year in order to try to get the best possible matchup on the field, not only from a football standpoint, but also from a business standpoint."

Of course they don't want to play the Cougars right now. Bc they are practically void of offensive weapons and vulnerable to a defeat. A loss to BYU would turn this season decidedly into a real downer and paint a bad picture of Kryle.

I so hope we get to play them and then show them the ropes...enough to hang themselves.

BTW, I read some article the other day written by our good fiend Monson. It talked about the problems them were having. Almost all the comments to the article were written by fans. A majority of them were not showing any love at all to Whit. Even a BYU fan man a decent comment about him and several people more or less told him what he could do with that post. It's awesome when turn on their own and start eating their own children.
