It's looking more like Mike Empey will be a coach.

- It's expected that the staff will be completed and announced before recruiting opens back up on Thursday
- Looks like Steve Kaufusi will remain on staff as DL position coach
- Tidwell may stay on and wants to stay on, but it would be as an offensive coach as Tidwell says all the defensive positions appear to be filled
- Tidwell coached RBs at BYU before, and TEs at La.Tech
- Ben Cahoon is being considered for WR coach
- JD Falslev and Jan Jorgensen will both return (as GAs?)
- Vince Feula will move up from GA to student assistant coach
- Others who have at least interviewed for positions: Jenaro Gilford, Reno Mahe, and Jamal Willis
- The hires that have been made on offense are described by someone familiar with the process as "pretty interesting"

So it appears most hirings have been decided already, but haven't been announced yet--Tidwell appears to know that the defensive staff is full, and the unannounced offensive hires are going to raise eyebrows. We should know all in 2 days at most.

Seriously, if we were to take all of the coaches' resumes and wipe their names would you guys be impressed with what they have already accomplished at the collegiate coaching level?

I agree with this 100%, if their resume's were touted with no names, there isn't even one fan on this or any board that would be happy with this staff.

My best guess for the next announced hire is for Reno/Junior Mahe to be hired as the RB coach. Not super excited about that one, but I've heard and seen enough the past three days to think that might happen. I know he's been out recruiting with Sitake tonight.
