BLUE GOGGLE ALERT: S&P+ 2016 projections are out.

Here's BYU's ranking and their schedule:
http://www.sbnation.com/college-footbal ... rojections" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
35. BYU (2015 ranking: 38)
12. UCLA (23)
21. Mississippi State (16)
22. Michigan State (13)
33. West Virginia (24)
36. Boise State (41)
39. Utah (27)
58. Toledo (21)
64. Arizona (77)
70. Cincinnati (74)
73. Utah State (46)
127. UMASS (97)
FBS. Southern Utah
These rankings are based on returning production (highest weight), 5-year recruiting rankings and 5-year S&P+ team rankings (lowest weight).
I know our 2016 schedule looks like the toughest ever. But, as I've said before, it's not as daunting as it seems. Half of our schedule takes a big step back next year because of lost production - especially at the QB position. 5 top 25 teams (with another one just outside) turns into only 3 top 25 teams next year - and we get the toughest one of those (and 2 out of 3) in Provo.

The schedule is solid but not insurmountable.
I really think that 8 wins is possible for this team and this staff.

Just to be clear, from the link:
So, the recruiting is only for the last two years. Which for BYU doesn't fit because a good portion of those will be on missions! I think the only 5 year factor is the "recent history" which I translate as "average team ranking for the past 5 seasons."There are three primary ingredients: a team's returning production, its recent history and its two-year recruiting rankings.
