The ban on satellite camps will likely not be upheld.

After the vote, both the PAC-12 and the Sun Belt commissioners said that their representatives had voted contrary to the wishes of their respective members. The vote in favor of the ban was 10-5 (P5 votes count as two). Had those two conferences voted the way they had expected, the vote would have been 8-7 in favor of continuing the camps. The vote still has to be ratified by the NCAA Council.

Today, reports emerged that the DOJ will launch an investigation into the ban because it "could jeopardize or lessen opportunities for youth players to be seen or have access to college football coaches".

I think that both these factors will convince the Council to table the proposal, for further discussion and review, or reject the ban outright.
