Re: BYU QBs against P5 competition
Note that independence has its rewards ... Hill has 13 games against P5 opponents, more than any other qb.
Also, the stats are skewed ... Hill probably gets the win against Nebraska because it was his start, but it was Mangum who won the game. So maybe they need a baseball-like category for "saves" (yes, i realize a save on baseball requires having a lead in doubt rather than a come from behind win). But we all know that statistics never lie ....

Taysom was dominating that Nebraska game. If he hadn't have gotten injured, it wouldn't have even been close. There would have been no need for last second heroics.mtnradio wrote:Note that independence has its rewards ... Hill has 13 games against P5 opponents, more than any other qb.

Meh, he wasn't dominating. In fact his parting shot was a pick that was almost a pick 6. That completely changed the momentum of the game.frdbtr wrote:Taysom was dominating that Nebraska game. Later this week I'll post actual stats for how BYU QBs have performed against P5 teams.

Go back and watch the game on youtube. he was dominating it before his injury. If he had remained healthy, it wouldn't have been close. He still moved the ball even on 1 wheel with his arm even after the injury.mizzoucoug wrote:Meh, he wasn't dominating. In fact his parting shot was a pick that was almost a pick 6.
