I would love to hear what she honestly thought BYU fans' reaction would be to her husband's little stunt...

Two reasons: (1) Got pissed when then DC Nick Howell publicly blamed the awful defense on the players in the secondary (for which Howell also happened to be position coach), and (2) his little sister was enrolling at USU, and some personal history there made him want to go be a big brother.

I think the "King of the World" thing had to do with some of the message board talk of him being a quitter, bad teammate, etc. for announcing his transfer and quitting the team at BYU before the season had completed.
I missed that drama. My first reaction to his interception was "good for him" until his punk move on the sideline. Nick Howell isn't at BYU anymore, and quitting the team midseason is not a classy move and neither is the King of the World bit.

If we had beat Utah with a Harvey Langi run on the 2 point conversion I would have been embarrassed if he had pulled that move at RES. Good for you...celebrate with your teammates, but have some class.

BYU TV showed some class. They mercifully clipped out Leavtt's King of the World grandstanding moment, from the ESPN replay that they have on line. It would have been funny for BYU fans, to have left it in. But, if it were kept in its full glory, it would become more and more embarrassing for Leavitt with each replay.

I thought he was looking for mom to make sure she saw the play. That's what kids do in Pop Warner at least.

So...we're supposed to applaud when an opponent intercepts the ball and then taunts us? Never mind the fact the player in question used to play for us and quit the team mid season. And, forget the fact we have no idea why he left the team in first place...like we're supposed to know why you "hate" BYU and then support and celebrate your disdain for us.

I hope I die an early death because if this sort of idiocy is the future of our nation, we're screwed.
