PSU Preview Aug 26, 2017 1pm MST

Post by scott715 »

On ESPN, sweet. We are coming for the game. Being it will be mid day and probably hot, where should we get our seats? Where is the cougar corner?

I'm telling you - that Hawaii double-benefit exemption is a thing of beauty. There is no other way that BYU v. Portland State would ever appear on the main ESPN channel at 3pm ET!, except during Week 0.

BYU needs to get Hawaii on the schedule every single year. If possible, always start the season in Provo over Week 0 - with BYU v. Hawaii the opening Week 0 game every other year. (I'm pretty sure Hawaii can move any of its games to Week 0 - home or road. Hawaii at UMass is on August 26 this year...)

My seats will be in the air conditioned living room of my parents house. I'm not going to a 1pm kickoff in August.

Any BYU home games in Aug or September should not begin before 7pm. It's just unbearable, uncomfortable for fans.

In all seriousness, it will be hot and sunny. Your best bet for any shade in the latter part of the game is upper west stands, north side will be shadier than south side.

There won't be any shade to be found for the Portland St game. At least not in the stadium.

Season ticket holder? Wanna sell (or give) me your tickets? I'm pumped enough for football to make a 4+ hour to Provo to watch BYU stomp Portland.

I didn't get seats this year. But I don't think if you came down that tickets will be hard to acquire. 1pm in August. I think BYU might be lucky to have 50k in the stands.
