Just saw that Ragin has committed to BYU!

Two days after being offered a scholarship in-home by Cal.

Interesting facts: not LDS but likes the emphasis of the HC. Really likes outside LB coach Poppinga.
Having his felllow teammate WR Tanner Shipley commit helped but he said he was coming to BYU regardless.
The way the D performed this year had a big impact on playing for BYU - apparently lots of recruits noticed their performance.
He wants to model his game after KVN. Would be nice if he can spend one year with him learning the ropes.
His Spark scores were outstanding and his team one the 7-7 Nike challenge.

He wraps up QBs/RBs and throws them to the ground. Good speed and can chase people down as well as catch the ball. Real athlete.

Rumor board is saying that Ragin has an offer and/or is going to visit Iowa. Any truth to this??

I heard he was tripping to Iowa but still is a solid commit to us. Who knows. The coaches rumors might have something to do with it even though it is just the offense coaches that we hear about.

He tweeted that he was excited to play with KVN.

Someone who follows him on twitter told me he is still taking trips to Cal and Iowa this month. Along with BYU. Hopefully stays strong

He is 100% committed to BYU. Said his recent visit with the recruiting class was 10 out of 10. Coaches Poppinga and Ataia will be visiting him this week after an in-home visit by a CA recruiter.
