It was the TO's and Rebounding
For as many shots as Ole Miss got (80), BYU is lucky they didn't score more. The defense only gave up 1.17 points per shot (.99 pps if FTs are factored out). BYU was up at 1.55 pps (1.22).
The defense was adequate for the amount of shot attempts the other team took. Had BYU been able to take away 10 shot opportunities they win by 7 points. Had they picked up 5 of the Ole Miss offensive boards and gone from 15 TOs to 10.
BYU needs players (aside from Kaufusi) who will finish the play on D and get the board. This is where we missed Austin all year, and especially last night.
