With Utah's less than impressive performance against a bad SUU team (9 point win but much closer than that most of the game) they tumbled down to #39 on Sagarin, while BYU moved up from #35 to #31 after beating UVU by 31, which believe it or not, is by more than Sagarin predicted. Sagarin started BYU at #35 and Utah at #13, or something like that.

On Ken Pomeroy, which does have a starting point but is fixed to not have it change very much early in the season, BYU moved up from #57 to #55 and Utah dropped to #20.

Using Sagarin's predictor rating, BYU is expected to beat Long Beach State by 9 tonight and Utah vs. SDSU should be considered a tossup. We'll see what happens. The Utah/SDSU game given their styles should be a close game with the final score very possibly not even getting into the 60s.

Although I will add that from the box score at least, Utah's defense against SUU was beyond horrible, which I'd say is pretty surprising.
