Who will be getting more of Rogers' minutes now (knee surgery), Harrison or maybe Sharp?

Hopefully Harrison earns his minutes through improved play

We could probably use a 3 and 4 from the JC ranks next year (2012-2013). Especially if Harrison goes on a mission and Sharp still sucks

Harrison's not going on a mission and Sharp does not suck; not one bit.
He's a freshman right off his mission but Sharp is going to be a fan favorite by the end of his career; he's the kind of effort garbage man that a team as talented as future BYU teams will be need.

When I went and saw BYU Kstate in the NCAA tourney, I also saw the 1st game (Northern Iowa - Kansas) and UNI had a 6'7" garbage man that made that team go and gave Kansas fits. That's Sharp for us. He does not suck....

This is the same thing I heard about Abouo and Hartsock (people literally called them garbage) when they were freshmen from others on this board (although Abouo hit the biggest shot of the season for BYU when he was a freshman... if not for Pac 10 refs, we'd still be all talking about it). It takes time for players to get enough confidence and skill to compete at the highest of levels in college basketball (this is where BYU is and has been for some time now) . Now we're seeing Hartsock playing like an all american and Abouo scares every guard in the country on the defensive end (ask Damian Lillard)

But Noah scored a ton in high school against good competition. Was Sharp the same caliber player??

The reason why Sharp ended up walking on at Utah, was that he was an unknown commodity. He played with 4 D1 players at Lone Peak (Haws, Austin, Hamilton, Funk). Sharp impressed the heck out of Utah and Boylen and reportedly was very close to pulling his redshirt premission. He was expected to be on scholarship when he got home but Crysko kind of screwed up the deal (if you're ever upset that we have sharp, just remember that we stole him from a team that desperately needed him and that we hate) Utah was very very upset.

Sharp is like Noah Hartsock in that he's an energy guy that is in the right place at the right time. Like Noahs 1st year, he's fresh off a mission, though unlike Noah, Josh comes to a team that is fairly set at the 4. (The starting 4 when Noah came in... JT)

I don't think Josh will be as polished as Noah by the time he's a senior, but he doesn't have to be. Noah is putting together a top 20 best season by a BYU Cougar and if we had any help from our guards, this would be a top 25 team. Josh will be a solid contributor in the future and I expect him to be quite the enforcer. He truly reminds me of an undersized Laimbeer, Rambis type. This will be a nice thing to have at the 4 as early as next season when we lose Noah. Josh is in better shape to get a lot of minutes than Damarcus or Anson, who will have to compete with Tyler Haws, Matt Carlino, Raul Delgado (new juco all america signee) and of course our 2 defensive liabilities in Cusick and Zylstra. Josh honestly doesn't have a ton of competition at the backup 4 spot, unless Rogers and Collinsworth get and stay healthy. It's basically him, especially if Coach Rose doesn't love having Brandon and Nate on the court at the same time (though because Nate can shoot outside, I expect that Nate will play some 4)

If Harward can improve and get in good shape, I think, I hope we see BRandon at the 4 and Nate at the 5, with Ian coming in as back up at the 5, and Rogers and CC coming in a back up at the 4.
I believe Sharp should compete for back up at the 3. He just doesn't seem to have the height or the girth for the four spot. And I'm not sure Demarcus has the height for the 3 spot. Besides Tyler will be there.

+1. Anytime your upset that we have Sharp just go to the following link. The Utes basically lose everyone they have two years in a row without comment from the coaches but as soon as one goes to BYU its a conspiracy. I love it. (I'm also pretty sure this was within 1-2 weeks of Kwitt taking Dale Murphy's son away from us post mission.)

Does anybody know if Mika is planning on serving a mission? I know that BYU announced he will play next year. The 2016-17 and 2017-18 teams are going to be really really good. Maybe take BYU farther than ever before. Add a Brekkot Chapman and the sky is the limit with those teams.
