Bottom Five and Other Miscellany

Post by BoiseBYU »

Bottom Five and Other Miscellany is late, but we’ve been celebraaaaating! Nevertheless, we need to do our duty and pay attention to the feeble.

5. Big 10. Ohio State loses to an unranked VTech. Michigan gets shut out at ND. Oregon waxed Michigan St. Purdue was slammed by Central Michigan. Nebraska barely beats McNeese State (I call fraud here—there is no state of McNeese) and Iowa was lucky to beat Ball State. The big 10’s best win Saturday? WI over Western Illinois.

4. UW Puppies. Lucky to beat HI. This week lucky to beat Eastern Washington. They gave up 52 points in the victory….Woof what a dog of a team. Chris Peterson is losing his luster.

3. NotForLong. After they SEE what spouse abuse looks like, they boot Ray Rice. That two game suspension looks pretty weak sauce.

2. Idaho Vandals. Facing a tie, with less than a minute remaining, the Vandals snatched defeat away from overtime and possible victory losing to University Louisiana at Monroe, 38-31 in the last seconds.

1. U-what-a-MESS. This statistic has been overlooked for too long: Since moving up to FBS, UMASS is 2-24. They found a way Saturday to lose to a pathetic Colorado 41-38 to keep the streak alive.

Honorable mentions: UNLV barely BARELY beat Northern Colorado 13-12 to pull off the win…..

More HM: There were SO many BORING games this week. Arkansas played Nichols State. Alabama playing FAU. Clemson playing S.C. State. Florida playing E Michigan. Baylor playing NW State. WV playing Towson—Towson?? Who ever knew Towson had a football team? Snooooze. Collective score of these games was like 376-20. Very few teams have the guts to play someone competitive out of conference games. Kudos to Texas, Oregon and Michigan State…
