This was decision Saturday! And boy did my beloved Idaho Vandals show up! But enough of them. Let's go to the leader board!

5. TCU Coach Patterson. You are tied, with a minute to go and the ball on your opposing team's 45 and it is 4th and 3. So do you go for it and punt and push the team farther back? Coach Patterson keeps the offense on the field and he is going for it! That's confidence in the offense! But wait! Time out is called and after the time out, out comes the punting team. So that is confidence in your special teams and punter that you'll push them way back and go to overtime. But wait! Coach Patterson calls time out again! Back out on the field goes the offense and in all that time the best play they can come up with is a poorly executed fade. So Baylor gets the ball and in the last minute goes 35 yards or so for the winning FG. Way to go Invertepatterson!

4. Defense. In the TCU Baylor game, the two Ds gave up 1,267 yards and 119 points.

3. Most overrated top ten team goes to UCLA. After getting dominated by Utah, the Ruins get pummeled by Oregon. Game was not even close. On one play the OR QB ran fumbled, picked up his fumble and then ran some more....for a TD.

2. Booringest game of the weekend: Alabama against Arkansas? Tide won 14-13. Or maybe it was Georgia 34-0 over Missouri? Winner goes to Central Arkansas 70-0 over Houston Baptist.

1. Idaho Vandals Beloved Vandals got taken advantage of by Georgia Southern 47-24.

Of note: Fresno State lost to UNLV. Yes THAT UNLV.

FB is one tough sport. Alex Mack of the Cleveland Browns is the center and had played 5,189 snaps for the Browns. Broke his leg Sunday and just like that his season is done. Tough tough sport. Victor Cruz of the NY Giants tore the patellar tendon in his knee. This is the tendon that speedsters do not recover from. Career likely over. Tough tough sport. So our best thoughts and hopes go with Taysom because it is one tough sport
