2. Back when Olmstead was on the men's team the elder McGown (who was the coach at the time), got a call from a high school basketball coach in Arizona. The high school had just asked the coach to get a volleyball program started, and he didn't have a clue. So he did some research, discovered that BYU had a great program, and he called McGown to get advice. McGown sent a few players to Arizona to do a workshop for the coach. One of these players was Shawn Olmstead.

The basketball-now-volleyball coach's last name was Parker, and he had a six-year-old daughter named Ciara. And that's how, twelve years later, BYU landed a highly-touted, non-LDS libero.

I thought the coach was to act mature and sober in front of the team and not act like a tween with a new camera. This really pisses me off!!!!

I never got a fun coach like him.

Finished the season ranked #3. I think it is about right.

Why do you need final rankings when you have a true playoff? BYU is #2 in the country, they made the championship match and lost. No coaches votes, press votes, or any other votes necessary.
