Verballed for 2012 class. However, recent talk is that he is possibly de-committing and committing to Utah. Nothing official yet. However, rumor is academics MAY be a factor. Unsubstantiated, but that is out there.

Per TBS, Lindsay is now High on Utah, Medium on BYU. This per Talo, and the Ute poster on Scout claims it is a done deal. Nothing official yet. And as BYU can not comment on any recruit until official signing day, the whole story may never be known, but sounds like a mutual decision may have been made to vacate the offer. I am hearing academics from many sources. The kid went to my high school, and I know many people in Kaysville who have given me info. The kid is supposed to be a great kid and a BYU fan, but the fit just may not be right.

That's too bad, but academics at BYU are pretty serious, especially with Bronco at the helm.

Do find it interesting that there has been no comment from the kid yet. Which leads me to believe there have been no changes, or he is too afraid to publicly utter a change. I think the former.

yeah it is odd that after the initial flurry of rumors we had nothing official except statements by his coach saying he was still going to BYU.

Dirk Facer is tweeting (Oct 16, 2011 03:49 PM) that Lindsay of Davis High has decommited from BYU and is headed to Utah. Don't know if this is related to academics or other issues.

I'm pretty sure the ONLY reason he is switching to Utah is because they're in the PAC12.

Yes I saw an article (can't remember where now) where he was quoted as saying it was an academic issue.
