According to BYU commit Brayden Kearsley, Chasen Anderson from Logan HS was offered by BYU and wants to commit, but needs to clear it through his dad.

Between USU and BYU. Plays MLB. Will not serve a mission. A little undersized.

He is similar in stature to Ogletree and just as tenacious.

Would be awesome for BYU if he commits. I'd be surprised if it happens though.

TBS article indicates Coach Howell is very close to him - he would play MLB and they feel taut he would be quite the leader. Wants Y to go undefeated and win NC.

If his dad is committed to USU he goes there but imagine the discussions going on if his dad is hoping to jump ship after this year? If I'm a USU fan I'm worried if this kid hasn't committed before the season ends this year.

If he does commit to USU just for his dad does his dad leave USU for greener pastures and leave his son in the great white north in Logan?

Finally figured out how to get the Rich Rod quote off my signature that randomly showed up! Sorry if you thought I stole it from you……..whoever it was that used to have it

Committed last night to the Cougs - didn't follow his dad WI nor decided to stay with prior commit to USU. Unfortunately, his accepting the schollie means that Austin Johnson (JC LB) now doesn't have an offer. It appears that we are loaded at LB depth and Anderson will be able to make an impact down the road within 4 years rather than Johnson trying to crack the lineup within 2 years (his remaining eligibility).
