Not sure if these are sophomore or junior highlights. I hope he has improved he's playing 10 yards off as a corner most of the time.

players don't always play off the receiver because they're not good. It's the defensive scheme that usually dictates a CBs distance.

Has a very long stride that covers lots of ground rather quickly. He looks effortless when he runs.

Nice article on TBS. Kid runs a 4.43/40, converted from RB (avg. 4.7 yds/carry) due to lack of depth in backfield.
Considers Jordan Johnson a big influence in his decision - like a brother to him.
BYU very high on his list - will make a decision later on this year.

Talo Steves reporting that CB Davion Orphey visited BYU recently and really enjoyed his visit. Very good sign.

Appears that he wants his parents on board with his decision. Howell is pushing him to commit now, he believes that a joint visit to campus with his folks will help make the decision easier. He must be talented as Howell is pulling out all the stops to demonstrate his interest in him becoming a Cougar. I would think the schedule in 2013 would be a pretty big carrot.

Committed to BYU. He is projected to replace DB Preston Hadley at boundary corner next year.

Talented enough to be recruited by UT, BSU, USU, MS state - originally a USC RECRUIT - good friends with Jordan Johnson. Will be a good compliment opposite JJ.

Rumor from a couple of days ago about posting UT accolades on Facebook now a reality. He has decommitted and verballed with the Utes. Better now than later on as we still have time to pursue other CBs. Not sure why he changed other than promise of BCS conference. But lot of good that does UT at present - not a lot of TV exposure.
