I missed that part...ugh...now my hopes are up.CougarClaw wrote:to be clear I think the article also mentioned that Jabari didn't have any of the coaches' numbers except one. one coach has his number.Gunk wrote:Yahoo just had a story on him where his dad says he screens all of Jabari's calls. Jabari only talks to the coaches he wants to talk to. His dad listed several coaches/schools he's been talking with. Didn't mention BYU.
My only bit of hope I hold onto is that Jabari said in an ESPN interview that Rose one of the 3 coaches he was connecting most with.
Fingers crossed.
And the article didn't mention BYU. One coach. not screened by his dad.
could be, could be. could be.

Gees, lets take him on a tour of the WCC and show him all the impressive places he'll get an opportunity to play. I would love to see Jabari at the Y as much as the next Coug...just don't see that happening. More like a one and done at Kentucky, Mich St. or..spit, spit ...Duke.
I guess in reality the MWC wouldn't have been much more impressive, just guess there are times I'm a bit embarrassed to admit we are in the WCC where a few thousand fans show up in tiny gyms and we are only even challenged by a couple of schools.
Go Cougs!

Re: Sealing The Jabari Parker Deal
yeah, those gyms are "intimate", but BYU hasn't even won the WCC yet so I don't think we better be beating our chests too often just yet. I'd be surprised if BYU wins the WCC this year. Top end has proven to be nearly as good as MWC and overall, I'll take being able to watch 1/2 of the games on ESPN over 3-4 games a year on the .mtn (or whoever does the mwc now. BYU is getting some major air time now and I think that's a huge plus for recruiting purposes.
