Taysom Hill PER - Biggest Irony

I will not post the answer to this riddle just yet.

But, since it has now been noted that Taysom Hill has the absilute lowest PER in Div I football

And even though PER is in many ways a good measuring stick - it does not always tell the whole story.

Discuss what you think is most ironic about Hill's current claim to fame.

I have no clue. But I do know PER still tells the best story.

I'm going to go with he is #18 in total offense.
Or #8 in rushing yards per game.
Or #2 in Quarterback rushing yards per game.

The only problem is that, until he raises his PER, defenses can focus on the run and keep our offense from scoring points. He cannot run every play and without Williams, there are not enough running threats for BYU to effectively beat a team with running alone. Even with Williams, there has to at least be the threat of a pass.

It really is that bad. We are 1-2 against two really bad teams and 1 okay team. The offense is pathetic right now.

Clue 3. It is not related to the fact that PER does not account for rushing by a QB, or strength of oppinents or 2 hour rain delays or jet lag, etc. It is about passing stats.

Clue 5 might be misleading. It is not his last year season PER thT best answers the riddle, but as stated it was higher than this season and is part of the downHill slide.
