[quote="Ddawg"]Harry Reid called a "liar" more than 12 times on MSNBC.
"MSNBC Co-Host Rails on Harry Reid’s ‘Koch Addiction’, Calls Reid a Liar More Than 12 Times"
Apr. 4, 2014 11:00pm
Friday’s edition of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” opened with an unusual segment. It was 12 minutes of an unfiltered discussion of Harry Reid’s almost-daily attacks on the Koch Brothers.

Does what Reid said about Romney qualify as "evil speaking of the Lord's annointed?" That is a question as I don't agree with Romney as much as I used to but I wouldn't accuse him of not paying taxes in view of his offering proof of his payment.

I wouldn't call Romney the Lord's annointed. Not even close. I think that he is a good guy from what I know, but he supports policies that I don't see being congruous with the gospel.

If Romney was Reid's bishop or a general authority than definitely it would be. But otherwise it's just being a liar.nuk13 wrote:Does what Reid said about Romney qualify as "evil speaking of the Lord's annointed?" Re: Would you sustain Harry Reid
Mizzoucoug, I prefer to consider this a false dilemma. Since I do put faith in our GA's, then I am confident that a scoundrel and pretender like Reid could never, would never be called to such a level of priesthood leadership. Knowing what I know about Dirty Harry, I would have to conclude that the Heavens were closed to Man kind, and we were back in the Dark Ages if such an abominable thing were to come about. Then again, if he had already been through a process of repentance and purging, like Alma or Paul, then I would not judge him for his former crimes. But as he is now, he cannot be for full abortion access, lying about an honorable LDS like Romney, and be a Bishop at the same time.mizzoucoug wrote:Very good point Sno, however, he does run the ward and the way I see it if you don't sustain your bishop you're not really part of the ward. I don't know. I've always loved my bishops but some are weirder, or more outgoing, and of course some are better leaders than others. And no, that has not affected my salvation one bit.snoscythe wrote:As a bishop? If it came to that, yeah, I probably would. I might raise my hand in opposition and take the opportunity to discuss my concerns with the Stake President, but if after that discussion they presented him again, I would likely sustain. Bishops have limited influence on my own progression, so it wouldn't give me heartburn, and my sustaining would be limited to his responsibilities and actions in his capacity as a bishop, not anything outside of that realm.
However, no matter my experience with a given bishop, I still respected and looked up to them as honorable men with a difficult calling. I don't believe there is a chance in the world that I could ever look at or deal with Harry Reid and have anything but thoughts of disgust and perhaps even hatred toward him. He is a miserable devil.

Well put Boid.
It's interesting that harry is backing obama in this Bergdahl affair. Even Diane Fienstien is asking questions.

I'm convinced Senator Reid is heavily medicated.

Re: Would you sustain Harry Reid
I get where you're coming from, but I wholeheartedly disagree based on the premise that the Lord would never call someone like him. There are (not a lot I believe) pretentious, arrogant bishops out there. I've been in a couple bishoprics and we often talk about the guys who are campaigning for the call one day. Some would actually be okay, but others would be a disaster for many. Some guys can put on the right face and say all the right things and get called to important positions because they appear trustworthy.BOID wrote:Mizzoucoug, I prefer to consider this a false dilemma. Perhaps I'm too cynical, but I have seen things and heard a few stories. And having shared the thoughts that I have, I think the Lord may even put someone who is less than stellar into such a position as a trial to the ward members. HR would qualify as one of those imo. The Lord works in mysterious ways.

Re: Would you sustain Harry Reid
Harry Reid is heavily disingenuous, conniving, has a dysfunctional moral compass, threw away Senate decorum by triggering the nuclear option and eliminating the time honored tradition of filibuster (for presidential nominees) to promote Obama's agenda. He will go down in history as the most divisive, partisan, loyal to socialistic ideology instead of the Constitution - Senate Majority Leader in U.S. history.SpiffCoug wrote:I'm convinced Senator Reid is heavily medicated.
In addition, Harry Reid is in league with Nancy Pelosi in carrying the water for Obama and his destructive socialist agenda. It's a very sad day when a Latter-day Saint stands arm in arm with the most lawless and dishonest president this country has ever had. Obama makes Richard Nixon look like a choir boy and Harry Reid does not blink an eye.

Re: Would you sustain Harry Reid
Want to know how conniving, deceitful, dishonorable Harry Reid is? He along with other Senate Democrats want to re-write the Fist Amendment, to abridge political free speech. If Harry Reid does not agree with your political point of view - he wants to muzzle you.
