Watched part of BoomShakala

Not a lot here but Corbin Kaufusi passes the eye test in the dunk contest. Dunno how he is as a basketball player but he is a legit NBA athlete.

I'm sorry, but Jarom Jordan and Spencer Linton are just awkward announcers and BYU sports reporters.

I watched as well.......There was talk of Luke Worthington being improved but I still wasn't impressed as he still looks unathletic as ever. He failed to dunk a ball his first try while running down the court during the skills competition. I wish Kyle Davis was eligible this year.

The impression I got from BoomShakalaka is that we're in for a long year of BYU sports.

Funny, I had that same thought, but was hoping that I was wrong. When the best three point shooting team of the night had Jeff Judkins on it, I thought, ouch.. We're in trouble.

We saw guards that couldn't hit a pass in the skills competition, 3 point "specialists" that couldn't hit three pointers in the three point contest, and big men who couldn't dunk with a running start.

At least Worthington is a better interviewee than a dunker.

Probably not the best forumn to evaluate our team talent. This was only an attempt to introduce the players and try to do it in a fun way. I still reserve judgement on this teams potential.

Chase Fischer has a very nice stroke from outside... his partner couldn't hit a thing

Aytes looks like the kind of 4 we've wanted for a while

Isaac Nielsen is a solid athlete and long

Kaufusi looks like a guy that will be able to handle the middle and at least not get pushed around

Worthington still looks unathletic and goofy

Anything else I think means nothing in terms of actual games; to be continued.

My expectations are low this season. Third in WCC and NIT bound.

I think you're pretty much right on. Wouldn't be too surprised to see us have a real battle for 3rd or 4th in the WCC this year.

Let's get that petition fired up to get rid of Rose and pick up some untested ute assistant coach as new HC.
