Where Does Healthy Taysom Get Us?
Assume all other injuries, suspensions, etc. are the same.
Just curious with all the heat the coaches and players are taking, how you think one player might affect the season.

I went 8-0. I think Hill would've made enough of a difference to win the first 3, and with 7-0 confidence going into BSU, I think that turns out much differently than it did going in on a 3 game skid.

Ditto. I don't think we lose any of those games. I think we try and console ourselves to say that we would have lost some anyway, but the defense was playing pretty well until Taysom went down. That sucked the life/heart out of the team. We have been trying to get it back ever since.snoscythe wrote:I went 8-0. When is the last time a BYU offense scored >50 points?

I think BSU beats us anyway. But I don't see Nevada, USU, and UCF beating us with Taysom.

Since BYU was losing to USU at the time of the injury, i think that goes as a loss. BYus D couldnt stop the pass.
BYU beats UCF And UNR.
But loses to BSU, bc of all the injuries and inexperience. The Hill factor cant overcome a depleted D that was just bad, bad.
6-2

I went 7-1. BYU doesn't go in down 14 at half against USU with him and definitely doesn't give up 14 point leads in the other two games. BSU was on fire that night...I put it down as a loss, but it would have been much, much closer.

Re: Where Does Healthy Taysom Get Us?
BYU was about to cross mid field with over 2 minutes left on the clock. The worst they would have been down at half was 4 points (probably would have been tied, it's not like USU was stopping BYU in that game up to that point either). BYU held USU to 7 points in the 2nd half. They would have ended with 28 points. You don't think Taysom gets us 8 more points than we scored?Cougs_Rule wrote:Since BYU was losing to USU at the time of the injury, i think that goes as a loss. BYus D couldnt stop the pass.

Re: Where Does Healthy Taysom Get Us?
I voted 6-2. I think USU had our number that night and BYU would have also lost to BSU. I don't think BYU loses to UCF or Nevada with Taysom hill. No way we give up those leads with him in the game.
