BYU-Miss St series 2016 (Provo) and 2017 (Starkville)
Apologies if this is old news and I just missed it.

Not only is it a SEC series, but a 1-and-1.
Not only is it a 1-and-1, but they come to Provo first.
...and we won't have to wait 18 years to see it come to fruition on the field.
Good work, Tommy.

Sounds like there was also a change in the SEC stance in that BYU now counts as a P5 game for SEC OOC games.

Wow, great news. We are now recognized as P5 by all of the conferences. At least no one says we are not.

We have 3 SEC teams on the schedule now: LSU, Mizzou, MSU. All either neutral site or home and home.
Every contract we have with P5 teams after this upcoming season are H:H or neutral site, except the USC and the strange Arizona one.

2016 has like 6 P5 games on the schedule with top G5 games. It looks like a P5 schedule without the cupcake P5 games.

That will be fun to have with either a RS Fr or Soph playing, right?

Any chance we get Georgia Tech back on the schedule?
Tech canceled the 2014 (Atlanta) and 2017 (Provo) games.
Looking at the Yellow Jackets' future schedules, they have plenty of room on the 2017 schedule for a road game (currently no OOC road games) and could use a OOC home game in '18, '19, or '20. They play Notre Dame in 2019 and 2021.
BYU already has 6 road games in 2018, so may be a couple of October games in 2017 (Provo) and 2019 or 2020 (Atlanta)?

Re: BYU-Miss St series 2016 (Provo) and 2017 (Starkville)
BYU is going to be chewed up like dogmeat. Couldn't we get a team or two at the bottom end of the SEC or ACC? That's a good team at least for the next two years. Trade offs, I guess.
Dan Mullen is liken him some Cougar meat.
I think while this is huge for BYU at one level, it is feeding frenzy time for P5 conferences to play a team that doesn't hurt their SOS, but is not likely to hurt, injure, or beat them with regularity--unless that team is GT or a few other cellar dwellers.
