It's like no one even knows he signed a summer-league contract with the Heat.
He's just 1000% off the radar for BYU coverage.

I had to google it as I had not yet heard or seen that information. Hopefully the Heat is a good connection for him.snoscythe wrote:It's like no one even knows he signed a summer-league contract with the Heat.

The downside to this is if he is successful and this road leads to him making the NBA, it could cause more players to leave early. Honestly it is selfish to want players to be required to play the 4 years of college, but as a fan of college BB, it would make it much better. Astonishing that all the top 10 picks were freshman in the NBA this year.

Free the kids to sign endorsement deals while they're in college and a lot more will stay.

Then what's to keep boosters from paying all players from their school huge endorsement deals, thus making recruiting unfair?jvquarterback wrote:Free the kids to sign endorsement deals while they're in college and a lot more will stay.

How is that unfair? And who cares if it is? Are you a communist? Some schools will be better than others because they have better visibility.Mars wrote:Then what's to keep boosters from paying all players from their school huge endorsement deals, thus making recruiting unfair?jvquarterback wrote:Free the kids to sign endorsement deals while they're in college and a lot more will stay.
I think this would really help BYU. Can you imagine the sponsorship deals Jimmer would have had? And Mika would make more selling cars in Utah than he would playing ball in Italy or Spain.
