Re: Gonzaga losing a transfer as well
No idea on those questions. I don't know wade, I met and knew his cousin shortly after he committed to Gonzaga, but I don't see him anymore.hawkwing wrote: ↑Tue Jun 12, 2018 8:17 pmYou would know this better than I would, or maybe you can find out, but do any big ponds actually want him? As far as I know, and I don't know much about this kid at all, but from what I understand no one actually wanted or recruited him. Has that changed now?BroncoBot wrote: ↑Tue Jun 12, 2018 8:06 pmI knew wade's cousin. He told me that BYUs recruiting of wade was a major turnoff.
To hawk's points. He played in 26 (?) games as a freshman right off the mission? I think he has potential. Maybe he was going for big fish in small pond if he is going to UVU, and I can't blame him for that. Especially if he had a bad previous experience with BYU. As SNO pointed out,BYU has been taking some real head scratches as their guards these days.

This is pretty late in the game for transfers, as most schools I would think have all their scholarships set for the coming season, BYU included. Is he so good as to knock someone off scholarship only a couple of months before school starts? I guess they could ask him if he's interested in paying his own way for a year.

I would assume so. Also that they're right.
Our last transfer (football, from Utah State) hasn't worked out so well.

Re: Gonzaga losing a transfer as well
With the new transfer rule which goes into effect in October, blocking transfers, while still allowed, would look petty. I think most schools have already adjusted.
