BYU vs Washington game thread

Maybe Petersen will have mercy on us and play his 2nd stringers in the second half.

Honestly, this is something I got sick of with Bronco. Get a big win that surprises everyone and then wet the bed a game or two later. Very definition of being "exposed."

I'll tell you what, if we go 0-2 this week and next, that pretty much negates the Wisconsin upset.

Defense is so bad. No QB pressure because our DC doesn't believe in it. Secondary is a joke.

Offense has called a decent game, I'd prefer to run a little more because UW has shown weakness to it. But the players are just flat out. Ot getting it done. I'd sit Hifo the rest of the game for putting the ball on the floor.

Our defensive secondary is not very good. We miss Dayan out there, and Takitaki biting on way too many crosses.

The good news is (other than Tanner playing awesome) we couldn't play much worse, and we get the ball to start only down 3 TDs. UW is beatable. They played nearly perfect, and we played terrible. We have zero margin for error now, but there's still a chance.

And once again we look timid out on the field.

Defense is letting Browning do whatever he wants. Offense is so jittery they can put together 2 successful plays in a row.

Hey...Mangum is making his passes. Now if we could just throw a pass longer than 10 yards.

They completed some balls downfield early but Washington has completely stopped our Jet sweep and other running plays so they no longer are allowing anything downfield. BYU's offensive line needs to start blocking for the run or BYU's total offense is going to grind to a halt.

This morning, I would have DREAMED of this passing efficiency for our offense.

But we are rushing for <2 yards per play. We have now become one-dimensional the other way. Our offensive and defensive lines will need to play the way they did vs Wisconsin, and running backs stepping up and running for sustainable yards, to get back in this game.

We are not a top 20 team.

The most frustrating thing about this game is that Washington (aided both by unfair officiating and our lack of effort) is making it look like a 4-0 Alabama is beating a 1-3 team.

That TD is on Butch. Corbin is on a spy and Butch left the TE to rush the QB. Easy throw to the TE for a TD.

Guys trying to do too much.

Our secondary just can't hang with top 25 teams. Not good.
