I don't buy the argument that the cupboard was bare. Sitake went 9-4 with Mendenhall's recruits and hasn't done anything with his own.

QB cupboard and RB cupboard were absolutely bare--don't know how you argue that.

Just because the coaches didn't know how to utilize the talent doesn't mean it wasn't there. The QB that was benched last year, set every freshman QB record at BYU after getting home from his mission during fall camp.
