Has he beat a really great team?
According to our AD, Sitake's best win was being up 20 on the utes late last year.

My vote would be at Wisconsin who finished the year 8-5

That was pretty impressive!
And great was the fall of it.

So one of the worst Wisc teams in recent history, however a decent team and at their house? I think you're probably right.

Heck, that's one of BYU's best wins since the 90s.

The Tennessee win to me showed that 2017 isn't going to happen this year. Kalani remains perfect against bottom 1/3 P5 teams away from Provo. We had 7 such losses from 2000 to 2015. Lavell, Crowton, and Bronco all lost on the road to teams in BCS/P5 conferences that finished with 6 wins or fewer.

Last year he got our only road win against a P5 team that finished with a winning record since 1997.

No we're not competitive with the top 1/3 P5, but never have been. Our 3-36-1 record vs. 9+ win P5s since Lavell took over is an example of that.

We'll see how the season plays out, but it shouldn't be a disaster. Hopefully we can keep building.

Here are our road wins against P5s that finished with 8 wins or more:

2018 Wisconsin
1997 Arizona St.

And that's the list.

Really tough to beat a good P5 on the road. Wisconsin was good. They beat Iowa on the road who finished ranked.

My expectations are that we get hammered the next two weeks against USC and WA. Unless Tuiaki is willing to change up his defensive scheme, I don't believe what he used against TN will work against USC. If that QB has time to throw, he'll pick us apart. Not that he's the greatest thing since sliced bread, but that he has top notch receivers.
