No one's won the starting job yet, but the board is divided on who it should be.PurpleReign wrote:So has Heaps won the starting job then? I hadn't heard that, that will be cool! Would love to see Jake vs. Jake
I got a laugh reading about a fan of our rival trying to analyze our beloved Coogs. It's like reading Keith Ohlberman trying to give an objective analysis of George W. Bush's presidency, it ain't ever gonna happen.
BYU will reload this year, not rebuild, but there will be some mistakes along the way. What will pull the team together on offense is having a stellar and seasoned Oline with 3 players who received post season honors. And on defense, it will be the secondary and Pendleton who will anchor the team. There are some real stud freshmen LBs coming in who will fill in just fine.
BYU has real depth at TE so no worries there. There is depth among the WRs as well, with a couple of incoming freshman who should contribute as well. BYU is a passing team first, so it will never have the type of RBs that USC or Oklahoma would recruit, but they will produce.
The team will be fine, though we'll be nervous to see how quickly they jell against a hungry UW team.
