Re: I Don't Have Words
Garbage, just pure garbage. It shows that many judges were once "those types" of lawyers once upon a time.
I'm just a regular, everyday normal guy,
I can't afford a car, I use public transportation,
I don't mind, I read till I reach my destination,
sometimes a newspaper, sometimes a book,
the money I save, this stuff is off the hook,

Re: I Don't Have Words
wow, that 15 year sentence is especially ridiculous considering he voluntarily gave himself up to the police.
At least he won't be hungry anymore

Re: I Don't Have Words
So someone steals $100 from someone and gets sentenced to 15 years. I bet the guy who was robbed will pay more than $100 in taxes to keep him in prison for 15 years. It's madness. This is why restorative justice has to overcome the ridiculous retributive prison state that has developed in the USofA. Your local prison guard isn't the only one who wants that guy locked up - it's a shovel ready job even Mitt could get behind.
FWIW the people swindled by the CEO should get restorative justice as well.

If ye love the tranquility of servitude better than the contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.

Why don't we ship convicts to a camp in Africa. We can feed them and give a place to sleep. If they want to escape they are free to do so. It would be a lot cheaper.

I like the idea of a prison colony, but we should set it up on the border of a countrythat already hates us. Or in Europe.scott715 wrote:Why don't we ship convicts to a camp in Africa.
