Utah lost to Alabama. Texas A&M will be a tough game.

And it wasn't close. 3-0 for Alabama. Pepperdine tied A&M and got into the top 25. Santa Clara lost to A&M 3-2 and then beat up on Oregon. The top teams in the WCC look pretty good.

Fast climb. BYU is already in the top 10 after 2 SEC wins on the road and a 7-0 drubbing of SUU at home. A&M will be a tough game but we gave them a tough game last year even if the actual score didn't reflect it. A&M snuck in a goal in the final seconds of the first half after BYU had controlled possession most of the half. BYU fought back in the second and had multiple shots barely miss or hit the hardware. Then A&M snuck in another goal in the final couple of minutes of the game to make it look like it was less close than it was. That was last year when A&M was highly ranked and we were coming off a bad year. I was at the game. The A&M fans were classy and friendly and had a lot of compliments about our team afterwards.

I think we can take them this time playing at home based on what I've seen from the team so far. But we have to beat up the utes first.

Almost anything can happen in soccer, but given how the season has gone so far I think #10 BYU will beat #12 Texas A&M tonight. It should be good.

Great win last night. This could be a very good BYU team if they stay healthy.

Ugly game at UVU last night. It started late with awful field conditions. Very physical play from a UVU team that was stacking the defensive box with 8 players. But BYU found a way to get it done with a beautiful goal by Serassio. The referee was terrible, though. BYU had to play the last 25 minutes or so with 10 because of a second yellow card that was questionably even a foul, much less worthy of a yellow card. Also another phantom foul call in the closing seconds of the game to give UVU a last chance to tie it on a free kick. At least it seemed at times that the ref was doing a few things to help out UVU if he could.

Today we beat Kansas state 5-0.

The more of these games they keep winning without giving up a goal, the harder it's going to become to argue that this isn't possibly the best team we've seen at BYU in the last decade or longer. They are solid at every position, have multiple scoring threats, and the defense as a unit may be the best ever. Previous recent teams, even really good ones, may have had a little bit of a struggle with A&M or at KU.
