I bet no film all year gets the reaction this one did. And most people won't even see it. Talk about film of the year award for most impactful...

the actors in the film were also not told of the film's purpose. Mohammed wasn't even in the original script of "Desert Warrior" and they claimed lines had been altered after the fact.

You have to wonder about the timing of such a film too. I also wonder if anyone had any idea what affect it might have. Guy like this makes a perfect scapegoat and sacrificial lamb and cover for someone with ulterior political motives. I can't imagine anyone in Romney's camp being responsible for inciting this kind of crap, but the GOP has plenty of unsavory characters who would.

This film didn't get the original reaction. The embassy strikes were a coordinated plan by Al Qaeda in retaliation for Obama's drone strikes. What has happened since are imitators using the same pretext to express existing anti-American sentiments.

It was actually a very quiet one until the Egyptian new service broadcast the most offensive portions of it for all their Muslim viewers to see during primetime. The movie had been on youtube for months before that. If the Egyptian media is going to go hunting for content on youtube offensive to Muslims they're not going to run out of pretexts anytime soon.

Has anyone seen the reports of how Ambassador Chris Stevens died? Initial reports were that he was asphyxiated from the smoke. Not so. Now reports are, Ambassador was taken from the Benghazi Consulate, alive - raped and then suffocated.

U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens not only was tortured (suffocated), killed, and had his body dragged through the streets of Benghazi, Libya, the mainstream media in the Muslim Middle-East are saying his murderers raped him before killing him.

You’ll recall that Libyan “Arab Spring” rebels had done the same to Moammar Gaddafi, anal-raping him with a stick.

film is probably stupid and inflammatory, but is currently being used as a scapegoat. This was a coordinated attack, the president is trying to deflect his incompetence with this film. the fact that the marines did not have live ammo still really really bothers me.

The fact that there was ZERO U.S. military security (neither Marine or Army) at the Consulate, in Benghazi, Libya, is beyond disgraceful. It is dereliction of duty for the State Dept. and the POTUS. Both Obama and Hillary are directly responsible for their Embassy personnel.

The Book of Mormon musical playing on Broadway is incredibly insulting and blasphemous to members of the Church. Yet you don't see them trying to burn the theater down. The response and reaction could not be more stark.

The White House was telling the media that he was "accidentally" killed by shrapnel from "protests" even after the press was reporting he was suffocated. Only when their accident version didn't take hold did they switch to the "suffocated by smoke" line. Can't wait to see how they try to spin this one away.

This is what blows my mind the most--why are they trying to downplay and lie about what happened? The White House still refuses to classify any of this as terrorist related despite (i) 48 hours advance notice from Egyptian intelligence of a planned Al Qaeda assault on the Libyan consulate, (ii) the Al Qaeda flag being raised over the Egyptian embassy, and (iii) Al Qaeda claiming credit for the coordinated assault. The White House continues to refuse to answer these questions and instead answers any such question with a statement about the film. It's maddening really.
