Every time I hear about dislocated hips, it makes me think of Bo Jackson. Scary injury, and tough to come back from depending on exactly how it was dislocated.

They are saying out for the season now.

The fact that surgery was required this soon tells you it wasn't a run-of-the-mill dislocation. If he suffered any nerve damage or related fractures to the edges of the hip socket, DP may be done.

And any disruption in the blood flow to the hip is going to do him in as well. DP might very well be done.

According to a League source - Pitta is out for the entire year. I hope he recovers fully with no lasting deficit.

That sucks SO bad for Pitta! After all his production last year, he was set for a monster year, especially after the Ravens got rid of Anquan Boldin. Poor guy was primed to become one of top pass catching TEs in the league.

I can't believe how closely this mirrors what happened to Collie. Both were set to possibly be pro bowlers, then huge injuries. at least pitta got a bigger contract before it happened.

Sounds like Pitta SHOULD recover just fine. Won't play this year though.
