BYU was fierce vs Texas. It has been eeking out wins the last two games--its worst two games of the season. Its odd that BYU is playing worse at home than on the road.
BYU is undefeated and trending the wrong way.
If a team wants to beat BYU, it need only watch the last two games and do 3 things--
-Pass on O vs BYU. Roll out your qb and then dump to screens when BYU sends the house.
-Shut down Taysom and the run. And make him beat you with passes.
-Get BYU to turn the ball over. (Maybe the biggest reason BYU won today.)

Actually, if you do watch the last two games and do those 3 things you will still lose. So there is obviously something else teams must do to beat BYU.

Yes, but some team, (BSU?, UCF?)Is going to put it all together while BYU chokes from penalties and mental mistakes. UVA wasn't even supposed to be good on O. So, why did they accumulate more O to date this season? And out gain BYU BY ALMOST 200 YARDS? In our house?

See, you've already added another item for BSU or UCF to take advantage of, BYU penalties and mental mistakes. So now we're up to four things a team needs to do. So far, none of the four opponents have done all three of the things you mentioned originally, let alone the fourth. (No one has shut down Taysom yet.)

Team with a solid OL, a QB and 1 speedy WR could beat us. Watching WSU play last night, they'd beat us. No way we could stop their air attack.

Smart teams don't scheme/plan for penalties and mental mistakes--except teams will start if BYU can't manage more than the modicum of discipline it's displaying currently.

The nice thing is that if we lose a game, we simply won't have voters to blame for not getting into a NY6 bowl. We simply don't have a top 10 opponent to lose to that we can justify losing to and getting in. Win out or go to Miami.. either is acceptable to me, it's been a fun season. It's going to be hard to win at boise at ucf and at cal... it's just not easy to win on the road and they'll all be very very motivated.
